This is not a sales pitch but a short auto-biography of who you are and what you do. This is a very powerful way to connect with your prospect and ultimately increase your sales.

List building is the art of capturing a prospect's information from your web page. When a prospect visits your web page you should provide an opt-in form for them to fill in. You can make them a special offer such as a free e-book or a subscription to your newsletter for filling in the form. Many online businesses have a high end product. However not all people who visit your website will make a high end purchase. By offering lower cost supplemental products you can increase overall sales and cover much of your marketing costs. Along side your high ticket item you could make a smaller offer for a downloadable e-book on "5 Steps To Increasing Your Leadership Skills" for $29.95. This will appeal to the person who is interested in your high ticket item but would like to find out a little more first before they jump in and buy the big ticket.

Once you have captured your prospects information you can begin a drip campaign through an email auto-responder also known as a "Sales Funnel". As stated before building a list is an essential part of all internet marketing strategies and is extremely powerful. The wonderful thing about your sales funnel is it continues to work for you day in and day out when you are out to dinner, at the movies and even on vacation. The sales funnel becomes your sales robot and can automate the sales aspect of your business. The idea behind the sales funnel is to provide value to your subscribers and continue to make your product offer.

This is the final step in maximizing your sales online. Monetizing your list can make you a ton of income outside of your main business or product. Affiliate programs offer a wide range of products that appeal to just about everyone. For example you could become an Amazon.com affiliate and sell a book to your subscriber's that pertains to the interest of your list. I am in the lead generating business and I often offer tools to my list that will help them generate more leads. The key is to make sure you provide quality content and offers. A list is to be valued and not abused.
